When selecting wallpaper you have to be careful, because wallpaper can date your home.  You want your wallpaper to have a timeless, classic look.  Stay away from trendy wallpapers that go out of style quickly.

To make paint more exciting, use a wainscoting on the lower half of the wall and a color on top.  Or get chair rail and use two different colors on the top and bottom.

When organizing a space, use baskets.  They look great and keep things in their place.  For example, in the bathroom, roll your washcloths and hand towels and place them in a basket for easy access for guests.  Even better; they look organized.
